The multimodal transportations are as follows:
Bulk (granular) and liquid cargo;
Consolidated and balanced cargo;
Single-piece goods in pack;
High capacity of light-weight cargo;
Dangerous cargo, including 1st class hazardous materials according to the ADR classification.
As opposed to the monomodal transportation, the multimodal transportation involves using two or more types of transport: vehicular, avia, water and railway. Usage of combined schemes allows to draw up the flexible and suitable route, reduce the transportation expences, “link” the dispatch and arrival points located on the distant geographic locations and ensure the ultraspeed delivery.
